Power on the PS4 console first.
Connect the controller with the PS4 console via USB cable, and then press “Home” button on the controller, the LED indicator will flash. The LED indicator will always on when the console connect to the controller successfully.
Then you can unplug the USB cable and use the controller wirelessly.

No need to connect them via USB cable again. Just press the “Home” button and the controller will automatically reconnect to the PS4 console.
